Thanks...
We just lost our Brinkley (after Tom Hanks' dog in You've Got Mail)--an old rescued Lab, who probably had not had many happy days in his life before we found him. Nevertheless, his loyalty, gentleness and stoicism taught us much. Stupid hole in our hearts, indeed.
