Introduction: Panel #5

3/14/2018

So, the Suburbo continues . . . setting the stage by sharing stories about living in New York City.  One of the great aspects of living in NYC is, of course, "people watching."  Because there are so many shared communal spaces in the City (subways, busses, parks, "squares," street fairs, etc.) you become a "professional observer."  The suburbs allows residents far more isolation & "private spaces" (not that you can't do that in NYC but you are, far more often, compelled to share space in the City).  The 'burbs certainly allows fewer chances to observe others --- except for some particular places, which is where the Suburbo will begin early next week,  starting with Chapter One: Groceries,

For today, however, here is some particular "people watching" from NYC.  (All of the Suburbo, like so many of today's movies, is "based on true events.")
